Nathan Wright, also known as Giizus Su Win en eh (Spiritman from the
Sun), is an Indigenous Herbalist, certified mushroom expert, and proud
citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. He is the
founder of Herbal Lodge, a Native American and veteran-owned company
dedicated to creating natural wellness products with respect for
traditional methods and the environment.
Drawing on ancestral knowledge and modern techniques, Nathan crafts
remedies from ethically wild-harvested herbs and mushrooms, honoring and
revitalizing Anishinabek traditions. At Herbal Lodge, he develops
trusted products like the pain-relief solution Minagin and medicinal
teas, prepared with care and sustainability in mind.
Nationally recognized as an educator and advocate, Nathan is passionate
about traditional herbalism, cultural preservation, and fostering a
connection to nature. His work has been featured in the film Troubled
